The Campus Condition Index Report has been renamed “The Building Replacement Estimate Report.” Since institutions now report deferred maintenance directly to their Board of Regents, this report no longer includes a building’s condition in its calculations. Including “Condition” in the name of the report could be misleading. The report layout and methodology are the same, but the renaming of the report more closely aligns it with its purpose, to provide an overall estimate of the campus’ buildings replacement cost when considering the campus’ deferred maintenance needs. As before, these estimates should not be used for insurance purposes.
