Under the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Improvement Act of 2006 (Perkins IV) and the ammended Act of 2018, The Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act (Perkins V), as part of the on-line application for the Perkins Basic Grant and the Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment (CLNA), institutions are required to assess their federal core indicator performance compared to state targets and outline strategies for improvement related to Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education. Perkins Data Resources are provided for Texas public community, state, and technical colleges to assist in this process.
Beginning with 2023-2024, each institution will log in securely to the MOVEit Portal to retrieve their data to answer the student performance data questions as related to the 3 postsecondary Perkins V Indicators of Performance. Refer to the MOVEit Portal Guide for instructions on downloading the data.
Each institution will find its own CLNA datafile in its “Special Projects” folder on MOVEit. The retrieval of this datafile will require coordination with your institution’s state reporting officials. The state reporting official at your institution has access to the secure transfer site. If you need assistance identifying your institution’s reporting official, please contact Yughi Kim at Yughi.Kim@highered.texas.gov.
