*Public community, state, and technical colleges in Texas use common course numbering for lower-division courses, as published in the Academic Couse Guide Manual (ACGM). Course numbers for English Composition I (ENG 1301) and for College Algebra (MATH 1314/1414) are the same at all community, state, and technical colleges. Public universities do not necessarily follow ACGM course numbering. However, universities do identify courses that are equivalent to courses listed in the ACGM. University courses included in these data are considered “university equivalents” of ENG 1301 and MATH 1314/1414.
