8th Grade Cohorts Tracked through Higher Education

The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB), in alignment with national approaches, tracks education outcomes for cohorts of students who attend 8th grade in a Texas public school including rates of high school graduation, higher education enrollment, as well as types of degrees earned from a Texas college or university. Outcomes are tracked for 11 years, including the last year of middle school, four years of high school, and six years of higher education. THECB is grateful for the support of the Houston Endowment in providing funding for making the 8th grade cohorts available. In addition to the reports below, this information is also available on the The Texas Tribune website at Higher Ed Outcomes - Tracking Eighth-Graders' Post-Secondary Success.
