CB Data Exchange

The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) will require and distribute reports through one of the secure methods described below. In order to submit CBM files to the Educational Data Center (EDC), you must now log into one of the THECB secure web servers using either the Data Submission Portal (formerly EDC Portal) or MOVEit Portal in a web browser or via an SFTP Client.

Using Data Submission Portal to Transfer Files

As they are added to the system, specified CBM reports must be submitted for processing through the secure THECB Data Submission Portal (formerly EDC Portal). The CBPass login is used for registered institutional users with appropriate permissions. For more information, follow the procedures listed in the EDC Portal User Guide.

Using MOVEit Portal to Transfer Files

The MOVEit Portal requires a username and password. If you do not have these, contact the data analyst assigned to your institution and follow the procedures listed in the MOVEit Portal Guide.

• If your user name begins with 'edc', please contact EDCInfo@highered.texas.gov.
• If your user name begins with 'fas', please contact UserAccess@highered.texas.gov.

Using SFTP to Transfer Files

You can also access the secure MOVEit site using an SFTP Client (FileZilla, WinSCP, SSH Secure, etc.) with the same username and password mentioned above. The following parameters are also needed:

1. Host Name:	dsv.thecb.state.tx.us
2. Username:	edcNNNNNN, fasNNNNNN00
3. Port Number:	22
4. Authentication Method:	Password
